suddenlyLISTEN has been presenting Improvisation Workshops throughout our long history! Many of our workshops are based on the long-standing London, UK workshop facilitated by sL's friend and concert performer Eddie Prévost. At workshops, participants are offered a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere in which to push musical limits and make music outside of personal comfort zones.

​The Improv Kitchen is led by Meghan Gilhespy at Radstorm, 2177 Gottingen Streetfrom 7-9pm, on the final Monday of each month.

Meghan Gilhespy describes the Kitchen: "The evening unfolds in two parts: First, we work through some games to get warmed up, to expand our sound palates, and hopefully challenge and surprise ourselves! The second half consists of free play - we create multiple pieces collectively as a group. Some really compelling music making has been taking place in the last few sessions."
